Shanna’s Skinny It Up Challenge :: Finished!

So ladies and gentlemen – the challenge is over!

I’ve lost 11 pounds and 4% body fat and lots of inches that I wrote about in week 10.

I didn’t hit my 20 pound goal, but I am a whole pant size smaller and can wear some of my old jeans again – and that was definitely on my goal list!

If I had done everything exactly how I had planned, I would have easily lost 20 pounds by now.. But instead I probably only gave the challenge 75% of the effort that I initially intended to.

I worked out, I ate healthy, but I also didn’t eat healthy and didn’t work out at times. I’m okay with this because I’m still getting used to making this a life change – I’m in it for the long haul, not just these 12 weeks. I am never going to be perfect 100% of the time – some days I just don’t want to work out or don’t feel up for it. Those are the days where I will eat extra healthy and make sure that I work out extra hard the next time.

Sometimes I really want to get down on a plate of pasta. That’s life and it’s okay to indulge from time to time as long as I don’t get back into the rut that I was in for the last two years (eating unhealthy & not exercising!)

In the end, I really think the last 12 weeks have been an overall success – I feel better, my clothes fit better, I have more energy and I lost 11 pounds while doing it!

A BIG BIG BIG thanks to my personal trainer Jennifer Delaney for putting up with me and my nonsense and getting me focused when I needed it! Another BIG BIG BIG thanks to Custom Fit Meals for having an awesome product that really helped me get my eating back on track and gave me an option of something healthy to eat when I wanted to eat unhealthy! I definitely couldn’t have done it without you guys!

I’ll keep you guys updated here and there on future progression – and as always, email me if you have any questions!

A job well done, congratulations on sticking with it and making a noticeable change in your lifestyle. As you said, living healthy is a marathon, not a race. And it sounds like you have definitely won the the first round, keep up the good work!

  2. Magnificent points altogether, you just received a logo new reader. What may you recommend in regards to your post that you simply made some days ago? Any positive?
