Just because you like to workout at the gym doesn't mean you don't like dessert. Here's one of my favorite recipes that I'd like to share.  If you are able to buy organic bananas, organic flour, organic sugar, and organic chocolate chips, go ahead, it only makes it that much better for you! You work hard at the health club, so give yourself a little reward.

Healthy Banana and Chocolate Chip Cake

1/4 cup canola or walnut oil

3 very ripe bananas (organic)

1 cup sugar (organic)

1 egg (or 1 tsp. baking powder mixed with 1 tbsp water)

1 1/2 cup unbleached all purpose flour

2 tbsp. protein powder...I use rice protein (optional)

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cinnamon (organic)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts- optional

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (organic)- optional :-)

-Mash the bananas with a fork.

-Add the egg and sugar, then the oil, and then the dry ingredients.

-Fold in walnuts and chocolate chips.

-Pour into a sprayed 9"x9" or loaf pan.

-Bake at 350F according to the following:

-For a 9"x9" pan bake for 40 minutes

-For a loaf pan bake for 50-60 minutes

-Bake until knife comes out clean in the center!

Enjoy!!!
